Kinda regret selling you my last X1950 Pro JK. I really bought this card for HTPC functions, as all of my movies and TV series are on my HDDs!

So how's that going for you? Pretty sweet card huh?

BTW I played Crysis beta at all minimum settings (except physics of course) with 1920*1080 and it was BRUTALLY LAGGY!

Hey Soylent next time you get a BSOD post the details, like the driver involved and I might be able to help you. As far as my experience goes, a BSOD is almost always memory related.....it can manifest itself as different driver errors, which lets you know that the memory caused it. If it's one driver error repeatedly, then you can troubleshoot that device that the driver is related to.

Ok, I will. My memory was set at 5-5-5-9. I changed it to 5-5-5-12 and haven't had a BSOD. Ill try to push the card a little and see what happens. It definately runs cooler with the new heatsink

Alright - have a question.

I have the chance to do one of three things - which should I do?

1: Crossfire my 1950 Pro

2: Buy the Asus 512 2900xt

3: Buy the 1 gig 2900xt?

My current rig is..

AMD X2 6000
3 gigs of Patriot Extreme
Air Cooling
Windows XP ( goin Vista 64 soon)
MSI Crossfire Motherboard
20 Inch Acer LCD W/S (I typically like to run games at 1680x1050)

(Will update my rig / sig in abit, I registered to ask this question after being an observer of these boards for a long time. A lot of great info!)

Your best bet if you already have a good PSU and Crossfire board would be to get the second 1950 Pro for right now until next year when we'll see the 65nm R6xx's
