Default what card stacks up to x1900xtx now?

what card provides better performance than the x1900xtx at a decent price? I love the eye candy, but want it to run smooth. games like fear, css, and soon crysis. dx10 or dx9

Are you looking for an upgrade, or a replacement card about the same performance?

I'd say 8800GTS for the upgrade and an X1950XT for the replacement.

Go for a HD2900XT or a used 8800GTX. The GTS isn't all that much better than what you have, and I think you wouldn't be happy spending $300 for a slight upgrade.
