How does it compare to the HD 2900XT? Also, what's the price tag (if you know)?

Wow! $250 is much less than the 2900XT! Maybe I can wait a week -_-

Yeah, that sure is a pain! I'm gonna stop by CompUSA again after work to see how much they are charging for PSU's. I'd like to have the PC all ready to go and just drop the card in when it arrives, not rewire my entire PC the day I get all the hardware and not be able to play =(

I implore you to do some due dilligence before going to CompUSA. Try looking at some of the online stores for prices. Some of them have such incredible customer service and return policies to go along with better pricing that you'll be shocked. Try this place: www.newegg.com Amazing for the most part but check around there are other places too. Good luck.

I was looking at newegg.com, nearly all day even. The reason I been saying going to compUSA is because the price of shipping is sometimes the tax I would pay if I picked it up locally. I actually was thinking of getting this guy here for my new PSU. I really want to go modular, as I have a silly amount of 'extra' cords sitting in the top of my CMStacker blocking the airflow of my 120mm fan I got up there.

This is what I'm using right now. Modular with only one monster 12v rail at 60amps. Multi-rail designs are a gimick that cost you performance. The rails aren't built as heavy as single rail models because they don't need to carry as many amps. Also, there's usually a couple of amps lost here and there as one rail leaches amps from the other to supply proper amounts of amps to the component in question. Aside from Silverstone, consider PC Power & Cooling. Those are my two favs at the time. Price isn't the only thing to consider when comparing CompUSA to the egg or others. You kinda "outgrow" CompUSA after a while when you notice that they don't carry a lot of the real enthusiast stuff. Betcha you can't find one single-rail psu there. Not completely knocking the place, I had one pretty close to where I lived and I often picked up odds and ends there, mostly out of laziness but it served its' purpose. Good luck.
