the xt/pro have a 512 bidirection vs a 512bit with a 1024bit internal? whats the difference between them?

nothing the 1024 is just improper terminology
and its not both its just the 512 bit 2 way ring bus

Yes, and the HD3000 series has a 256-bit bi directional ring bus. It's just easier to say 512 and 1024-bit ring bus.

it doesnt have 512 AND 1024 it has a 512 bit ring bus. The only diffrence between the 512 and the 256 bit ring bus, it the amount of traces on the bus. 4 for the 512 and only 2 for the 256. that like saying full duplex gigabit is 1Gigabit and 2Gigabit.

I meant 256 bi directional for the 3870, 512 bi directional for the 2900.
