well i started on working on a volt modded bios for this card
and i'm wondering what would be the safe max voltige on this card with watercooling? i must say this is scary stuff lol

What's the default voltage? Don't be to scared, if the flash goes wrong, you can boot off a floppy and use atitool to flash it back to the stock bios blind with no video. I've had to do that a few times, it does work. The first time I had to do it, it was very scary though. Make sure you are changing the 3D voltages and not the 2d.
__________________And you know unless you have the new fixed bios and a way to flash the card, a volt mod won't be of much use

still no better oc with the volt mod
so i flashed it back to the "original" but can anyone give a hint to witch of the volts shoving here i should change?

No idea, but I would NOT use 1.5v (also that is very dangerous for a 55nm chip) unless you have some serious water cooling. The 2900 has a massive temp increase going from 1.15v to 1.25v. It might be a similar situation on the 3870, did you check your temps at all?

You should be fine then as far as temps go. Just be really careful with the voltage, 1.5v is a LOT for a 55nm die.

well untill i figure out whats holding this card back
i'm running it @1.43 for further testing should be safe and should give better oc tho at this point it's not

still 862mhz (shows 850.5mhz in rivatuner) 3dmark run
850 mhz (shows 837mhz in rivatuner) stable atitool artifact free so volting is not helping
