I assume their system uses a "price tape". This would update the prices for, lets say, all the AMD items. The update doesn't know it is nis. I don't think they go in item by item to adjust these things.

back OT: that is a sweet price/performance ratio. Also, the 3870 is rumored to have better image quality as well. I see one of these in my future.

Oh my gosh why does everyone upgrade for a already sweey GPU to a extreme GPU.. Maybe having this GPU makes everything look like candy to me~!
were you referring to my card? i love to play oblivion but i cant run it on my current gpu which is why i would like to upgrade to this sweet price/performance card. honestly for the money it really is worth it. hopefully the low price trend with better gpu's will continue on in the future.

To dralb: ATi has always had better picture quality that's why I am and will try to remain loyal to them.. Thought I don't think that my next GPU upgrade I will be able to remain loyal to them unless they get a good card out.

To r3skyline: I think I should wait some more time before upgrading, for right now I'll just stick with getting another low end (like 7300GT 256MB) until I get a GPU upgrade and Vista.

That's a nice offer but I have just have 2 problems..

1. My grandmas credit card won't work with PayPal for some reason

2. I don't have Vista so a DX10 card will not be necessary, plus it has the same performance as a 7600GT/S just costs more.

Great card man I like it a lot, although when I had both the 8800GT and the HD3870 in front of me, I chose the 8800GT. I guess it wasn't a decision based at all on budget

O.o i would actually beg to differ on the performance similar to a 7600gt. its the 256MB and it actually played oblivion and crysis better than what my old 7600gt did, i had the xfx fatal1ty version and it wasnt able to play crysis on med whereas the 8600 defaulted to med at 1024x768 and played perfectly . replied to ur pm.

People these days have lost sight of the term "Budget" Budgets are like X2 4000+ Brisbane, 2GB G.SKILL, 160GB HD, and like a 8600GT or X1950Pro (around same price)
