and atitool shows it as 16 pipes.

right after i flashed, i restarted and atitool showed me as having 0 pipes. so i uninstalled drivers, rebooted, reinstalled drivers and after restarting it showed me as having 16 pipes.

Thats the good news. bad news is my driving force pro wheel which i spent $150 on is broken. just when i thought God had stopped hating me. my videocard is only at 39c with core and memory oc'ed by a around 10%.

i would not be suprized if my videocard just expbloded though because i am cursed like that.

I typed:
atiflash - p 0 PE.bin and it says: ERROR 0FL01

Then, I typed:
atiflash -f -p PE.bin
And it gave me a whole sort of numbers and such... and so I thought I did it.

So I opened up ATI Tool and smile from ear to ear to see my default core and mem speeds at: 540 and 590...

So I was so happy, until I realized that my pipelines were still only 12.

I don't get it.

Here's what I have... I have the ATI Radeon X850 Pro (AGP) it has the samsung 1.6 with VIVO. And on ATI Tools it says: (This is what it said AFTER i returned my BIOS to "stock" form.)

Default GPU Clock 500.00 MHz
Default Mem Clock 500.00 MHz
CONFIG_DIE_FUSES 0XFFFFFFFF
CONFIG_SUBSTRATE_FUSES 0XFFFFFF9F
CONFIG_ROM_FUSES 0X861
GB_PIPE_SELECT 0X2724

So according to all 50 pages I spent reading today I should have unlocked to 16 pipes... I used x850 xtpe 1.6 fan control agp.zip (34.3 KB, 2278 views) <---that file from http://www.overclock.net/faqs/44936-...pro-xt-pe.html for my new BIOS. I just don't understand. May somebody help me do this? I've spen the better part of yesterday and today... I need some answers in order to sleep well tonight. :sigh:

Okay, if you dump your original bios through ATITool, zip it up and upload it here then I can Hex hack it to 16p and try flashing back. If that doesn't work then we can try different flashing utils.

I'm a complete computer noob! I do not know how to do that. I'll be needing step-by-step instructions, please. And I'll be gone most of the day for school and work, so I'll be on later tonite.

Thanks!

There's an option in ATiTool I think in miscellaneous settings to dump the VGA bios. Just do that winzip it and then upload it here via manage attachments.

Okay... by "dump the VGA bios" I think you mean save? That's what I did... And I saved it to "my documents". I clicked to manage attachments but it said invalid file. I think that might be because the BIOS file is a BIN file and it doesn't list the BIN file as something i can attach....
