Well, keep in mind it was an extra GPU that netted me that performance, but 13 FPS, thats almost perfect scaling.

My CPU is at stock 2.4 (Q6600) as well, but does that have much effect on the GPU bench? I'm also only at 1280 x (I think) 900 res, all on high. I don't care what happens to 3DMark, as long as I see the game performance, but it did get worse for me when I loaded 8.3. Perhaps I'll give the 8.3's another try tonight. I hadn't heard of Driver Cleaner before my last shot at installing them, so that my help the matter a bit. We'll see how it works.

Yeah my 2900's did not like the 8.3's either. Lots of screen flicker in COD4.
