Default Having prob with my GPU

Im having prob with my GPU. Ive used this GPU 1 year already and first time ive encountered this prob. Ive already tried re attaching it to my mobo and tried restarting pc so many times. Sometimes after loading in windows it sometimes turn off black screen then afterwards back again with blurred and red/green stripes appearing. Sometimes windows error pops-up and sometimes CCC pops up saying GPU not responding to to driver and no frequency.

maybe try removing the old drivers and installing new ones. make sure you completely remove the old files with a driver cleaner application.

Ive already tried that before posting this thread. Didnt work also Ive tried it 3 times already and installing different types of drivers for x1650, 1 is a driver only, 2 advance driver with CCC, Hyrdravision, and the other is basic but didnt work also.

Its kinda alright now, yesterday there were red, green and blue stripes appearing but now no more, only red and blue tiny dots all over the screen. And I cant play games yesterday, it sez unable to initalize directx or something but now it can open cod4 and other games but something odd in graphics, it has red blue dots also.

Well mine stopped working because I attached an aftermarket cooler and the back bracket that you have to put on to support it touched one of the components on the back of the board.

If there are still dots on the screen i'd get in touch with ATI or the people who sold you the card (if you still have the receipt?)

I was lucky with the company I bought it off because mine was a B - Grade which meant it had already been returned once - I gotta new card out of it so I'm happy.

Good luck.
