definately would say the 4850 is worth it for my gaming needs and waiting for the benches of 4870 soon , RivaTuner update so I can see how far I can take the core on OC with fans up to 80%-100%

hi, how much performance increase do you think ill get with the 4850 over my 8800gt?
with a E8400 cpu i did post this question in another thread but i think it was the wrong sorta one for thsi question

Dude, I just swapped my 8800GTS G92 out for one of these things and all I can say is I'm floored with how well the thing performs in games.

COD4 has never LOOKED so good, AND ran so good. It just blows me away the visual quality and smoothness you get with this thing, and that's with running same resolutions, same in game settings, vsync on both cards, yadda yadda yadda. Running both these cards back to back, it's a noticeable difference.

I repeat, you will NOT be disappointed.
