Install it. It's super easy to run, I don't think you'll need help in doing that.

I decided to hack it up. What originally was stopping me was the MOSFETs on the back of the card. Since the heatsink is a full cover block, I couldn't install my HR-03 GT without making/finding a heatsink for the back of the card.
So, onto the pictures. Sorry 56k users ![]() The beast, for reference: ![]() The dirty, naked beast: ![]() All cleaned up: ![]() A sexy shot of that 0820!? Still confused as to what that means: ![]() Closeup of the RAM: ![]() The villains keeping me from switching to aftermarket sooner: ![]() And the saw comes out! MUWAHAHAHAHA ![]() ![]() Heatsink: "No please, let's just talk this through, I'm sure I can help you, please noooooooo" ![]() Too late: ![]() The underside, solid copper is a plus, super easy to hacksaw through too: ![]() I think it looks better like this actually ![]() ![]() The other half: ![]() The other half's underside: ![]() Fan porn: ![]() I decided to mount the fan back on. It could only help, right? ![]() Now with the HR-03GT: ![]() Mounted in my system with a 120mm Tricool from Antec: ![]() Forgive the dust please: ![]() Trying to show how close it came to the chipset heatsink. The fan is actually touching my Wifi onboard: ![]() A shot with long exposure: ![]() And the idle temp, original it would hover between 68-70C. This is with the tricool set to Low. On high it averaged around 35C idling. Not bad considering my ambient room temperature is around 32C:

What's the highest clocks so far on the 4850? I haven't done TOO much tweaking but this is what I've ended up with after about 30 minutes of clocking:

![]() You could always try running without heatsinks on the MOSFETs, I just wouldn't recommend it.

Oh, the heatsink fits and works wonderfully on the core itself. You might be able to just angle the fan enough to blow across the MOSEFTs to keep them cool.
