Actually, looking at the cards, the memory will be the easiest for soldering noobs. however, the vgpu will be a tad trickier. Luckily I can solder like nobody's business and as soon as I get my replacement HD4850 back it's breaking 3dmark's back time!

Is it possible you're seeing 2d speeds.
When you hit the test custom clocks tab, you should see the speeds jump.

Agreed. Download something like Rivatuner and run the hardware monitoring. Go play a game and then check the history of the graph (you can hover over the graph and it will show the value at the given time.)
This should let you know if your OC is working.

BTW have you guys flashed the MSI BIOS to allow Powerplay to use the lower clocks?

Here is a thread at XS forums with great info and discussion on the vmods.

More pics of the VR vmod........

Well tomorrow I'll have temp reports before and after my water block, along with OCing temps through the BIOS. I'll also have temps with increased voltage (to 1.20V I believe is the max) through BIOS editing in RBE, as well as flashed to the MSI BIOS for lower 2d power consumption. Not sure how far I'll get......but I'll upload all the data here.
I'll put all my info on the rest of the diodes on the card (provided the card has these), as well as some benches.
I'm going to run:
Vantage
Crysis
HL2 Ep2
UT3
STALKER
CSS
Lost Coast
Anything else anyone can think of? I have a lot of FPS games.....I would really like a script/batch file or program for a COD4 bench if anyone has one.....

All right my wife has the box with my 4850s in it when I get home! W00T! I'm going to install them and get some heat readings with the stock heatsinks, then put my MCW 60s on with IC Diamond TIM.
