yeah i saw that thread. i feel bad for that guy, especially with a raid 0 setup.

anyways, i believe the hotfix drivers are the newest ones out. if i install older versions they wont have the hotfix.

i think i'd rather have the hotfix ones. i mean it fixes the temp issue.

this n00b again, sorry if this was already mentioned by does this same thing occur when you run your 7-series nVidia video card?

Good luck

nope, when i had the 7900 GT everything worked fine.

it would do a complete shutdown and turn it self off.

this n00b again, looks like you narrowed it down to the 4850 causing the problem. I find very interesting that this also occurs in Safe Mode which makes me believe it's not driver related. Your PSU should be fine wattage and amperage wise. For testing purposes do you have another PSU that has a 6-pin power connector that you could test with?

Good luck

yes i did use driver cleaner pro

anyways. due to my illness i just got back to the rack with the PC that as the issues.

sorry i haven't been able to do anything so there are no updates. STUPID subway sandwich made me sick.

anyways. i wish i had another psu to test out the system. i will set out on a quest to acquire/borrow a higher power PSU, since i can't make the two PSU (if i had them) turn off syncronously.

well i did discover an antec basiq 550 watt psu at newegg for $50 shipped. I want it, because it's MODULAR!!!!!!!!!

but another $50. hmmm. this HD4850 is turning out to cost more than it's worth, to me.!!!

this n00b again, you didn't happen to have a chance to test the voltages of the PSU did you? If you have a multimeter handy this procedure can be handled fairly quickly. Here is a guide that explains this: http://www.clunk.org.uk/forums/guide...ing-guide.html. FYI I went through the thread looking to see if anyone else suggested this so sorry if it was.

Good luck

yeah i have a multimeter on hand, i can test it. it shouldn't be a problem but i doubt low voltage, or voltage fluctuation is my problem.
