Default My 4870 Review (Games tested! *Updated w/ Crysis and Gears of War*)

All test are ran using my sig system @ 3.2GHz. I let Fraps record frame rates for 1 minute. (Unless otherwise noted.) Those are the results provided.

World in Conflict (All settings Maxed/Turned on. No VSync. 2x AA/2x AF DX10)
Using built in benchmark*

Resolution: 1920*1200
Detail Level: Custom
Average fps: 39
Min fps: 25
Max fps: 69

Bioshock (All settings Maxed/Turned on. No VSync. DX10) Fort Frolic

Resolution: 1920*1200
Average fps: 109
Min fps: 66
Max fps: 140

HL2Episode2 (All settings Maxed/Turned on. No VSync. 8X AA/16X AF)

Resolution: 1920*1200
Average fps: 112
Min fps: 66
Max fps: 176

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl (All settings Maxed/Turned on. No VSync. FULL AF)

Resolution: 1920*1200
Average fps: 68
Min fps: 35
Max fps: 248

CS:S Video Stress Test (All settings Maxed/Turned on. No VSync. 8X AA/16X AF)

Resolution: 1920*1200
Average fps:254

Team Fortress 2 (All settings Maxed/Turned on. No VSync. 8X AA/16X AF)

Resolution: 1920*1200
Average fps: 131
Min fps: 84
Max fps: 292

COD:4 (All settings Maxed/Turned on. No VSync. 4X AA/ Full AF)

Resolution: 1920*1200
Average fps: 58
Min fps: 24
Max fps: 126

Crysis (Very High)

Stock Clocks:
Resolution: 1900*1200
Average fps: 15.00
Min fps: 3.97
Max fps: 21.67

Overclocked:790/1000
Resolution: 1900*1200
Average fps: 17.03
Min fps: 5.95
Max fps: 23.15

Gears of War (All settings Maxed/Turned on. No VSync. DX10)
Resolution: 1920*1200
Average fps: 60
Min fps: 29
Max fps: 64

Alright, I am a dork. I went ahead and posted the results I got for Crysis and GOW anyway. I used the Crysis benchmarking tool and I did not realize until I got ready to run the benchmark, that I could not pick 1920*1200, so I ran it at 1900*1200. Also, I am guessing that GOW has a frame rate cap. I will figure out how to take that cap off and run the test again later.

Oh, almost forgot, installed XP-64-bit and ran 3dMark 2006 and 3dMark 2001. I know 3dmark 2001 is so old and useless, but I love it and I think it is so cool to see how high it goes with each upgrade.

Enjoy!

I am trying. I bought Crysis using EA's Download manager. Now when I try to run Crysis, I get the message that I cannot start the game because I have 3 concurrently active licenses. What is funny is that I have only downloaded and installed the game once. Anyway, as soon as I can get it going, I will have Crysis tests posted.

Thanks.

I wish i could sell them the other two back, but I do not know who took them. I am so pissed right now. I have searched for ways to resolve the issue, but I can't find anything that works. All I know is to get in touch with them on Monday and see what they tell me to do.

I'm guessing you don't have any racing games?

I'd like to see how it performs in for example RaceDriver GRID or Trackmania Forever.

I'm extremely pleased to see this card run WiC so well at 1920x1200.

No, I sure don't. I was thinking about getting GRID though. If I do in the next few days I will post results.
