can I has thread revival?
I can OC my 4870 pretty high on air, but the RAM can't stay cool enough to OC 'em decently, and the core gets pretty warm too. I was thinking about making a single 120mm rad(already have) loop just for my 4870 and leaving my CPU on air. I don't want to spend well over a 100 bucks for a full coverage cooler, pump, tubing, and res. I figured I could geta cheap, used, core only block, a cheap used pump, use my copper 1x120mm rad I already have and grab some tubing down @ home depot. By the time I would have spent the money to purchase something like a t-rad2, 2 good 92mm fans, copper ramsinks, and a large assortment and trail and error to cool the VRMs and pulse chip that it would be more cost effective to set up a loop just for my 4870. edit: since this is an older thread I had figured maybe D-tek already had a 4870 unisink out. SO i googled. I haven't found anything yet.

lol.
IIRC, the 3870's vrm layout is a bit different than the 4870s, so they wouldn't be inter-compatible.
