killnine PM'ed me with a link to this thread.

The 4850 sinks are currently in production and will be available in about 10 days. The 4870 sinks will follow shortly thereafter.

I'm having them done red anodized this time.

can I has thread revival?

I can OC my 4870 pretty high on air, but the RAM can't stay cool enough to OC 'em decently, and the core gets pretty warm too. I was thinking about making a single 120mm rad(already have) loop just for my 4870 and leaving my CPU on air. I don't want to spend well over a 100 bucks for a full coverage cooler, pump, tubing, and res.

I figured I could geta cheap, used, core only block, a cheap used pump, use my copper 1x120mm rad I already have and grab some tubing down @ home depot.

By the time I would have spent the money to purchase something like a t-rad2, 2 good 92mm fans, copper ramsinks, and a large assortment and trail and error to cool the VRMs and pulse chip that it would be more cost effective to set up a loop just for my 4870.

edit: since this is an older thread I had figured maybe D-tek already had a 4870 unisink out. SO i googled. I haven't found anything yet.

lol.

IIRC, the 3870's vrm layout is a bit different than the 4870s, so they wouldn't be inter-compatible.
