This update guide was made by Bob and friends prior to RivaTuner support for the 4800 series.

When there's no simple click software way, do it the overclock way, flash it.

Can someone pleaseeee help me. I have a ATI Saphire hd4870, and i kept freezing with gta4. So i followed the atiflash instructions, and when it restarted, i have no post. I belive its "bricked" Please, im begging someone to help me, i dont know why ATI even had problems with this. This card has brung me hell, it freezes all the time in the middle of all my things. Please someone help me.

I have a Asus MB,3GBRAM,250GBhd..etc. Pleaseeeeeeeee someone help me.

what you need to get is a regular pci card and flash via a bootable USB drive or a floppy disk. check http://www.techpowerup.com/ for more info on that.

i have bricked a card or two in the past and always recovered the bad flash by re-flashing using a PCI card as the main output for video.
