Great! Post any little tidbit's you may come across please!
I'm putting a bounty on the Diamond 4870 XOC bios. The first person to find it gets a prize . it's the bios that lets you push to 950/1200 on catalyst control center .

With regards to the BIOS flash....
__________________Does this unlock the clock speeds aswell, so you can go past the locked clocks, or does it flash clock speeds within the locked clock speeds? Also, is it dangerous if not followed correctly? Once youve flashed the bios can you flash the original one back any time? Thanks.

The reason people flash BIOS is to adjust the fan speed and increase the voltage so that they can reach higher clock. I'd say it is dangerous to flash BIOS since it voids warranty. You can go back to your original BIOS with some hassle. For example, boot up from different working Graphic card, and flash back to the original.

820 is my max core, funny that anything >820 gives an immediate freeze.
I've tested at 820 for nearly an hour with no issues.

. What kind of freeze do you get? Mine is just a display driver crash, then CCC takes over and resets the driver.

I believe I may purchase the swiftech 3870 waterblock since I'm pretty sure it'll fit on the 4870 mounts. And if someone can get me volt mod schematics I'd gladly fry this card in the name of science.

When you say swiftech 3870 waterblock, do you mean the MCW60? I know for a fact that it fits like a glove, you don't even have to use RAMsinks.
