Well, the one has survived. it's running stably at 900 core right now. I'm gonna bump it a little more tommorow, but it's definitely sleepy time for me.

Not getting much of a bump in 3dmark though. I can't believe i'm saying this, but it's probably my CPU .

I noticed that with most of my nvidia cards. Overclocking cpu, big jump in score, overclock gpu, not so much....

Ok, so the max reliably stable core for me is 875, and i get it at 1.333 V. Higher voltages yield worse results for some reason .

Anyways, here's a crysis bench @1680x1050 all high DX9:

Not bad for a single card, especially considering it is only 2 FPS short of what i got with Tri-fire 3870's

get them now so you'll have them ready
if possible go ahead and uninstall your current drivers and use a driver cleaner to clean it up

man, i just ordered a duorb ($35 at DirectCanada) for my incoming 4870...i think i'll be good if i have reasonable case ventilation, AS5 and all the ramsinks

in all the reviews i read it beat the vf1000 and the only complaint was higher sound levels due to the lack of fan speed control

i also bought a TRUE w/2 fm121's

but it makes me wonder if i should have gone water with all the money i just spent on copper and fans

There have been several reports of the Duorb not being able to handle load temps of the 4870.
Search Rage3d, and Guru for a couple of examples.
