I believe the 3xxx and 4xxx series come with 1 DVI-HDMI adapter per card
The 3xxx series outputs 5.1 HD audio over HDMI nad the new 4xxx cards do output 7.1 hd audio via HDMI

The 4850 will walk all over the 8800GT
In fact - a 4870 = 2*HD3870 in performance....1 3870 roughly equals a 8800GT

They are all the same chip underneath anyway right.
yeah lol they are all the same but better makes sometimes mean better OCing. but tbh Gainward is probably a worse make than powercolor lol.

yeah i forgot about the postage lol and the gainward still comes with a DVI to HDMI dongle

Yeah, even with a converter i'd still need to buy an HDMI cable anyway.

I find Overclockers to be overpriced on certain items and that I can get them cheaper from http://www.cclonline.com

Examples include

250GB 16mb cache Western Digital hard drive £33 from CCL, £40 from OCUK
Razer Deathadder £32 from CCL, £38 from OCUK
Antec P182 case £78 from CCL, £88 from OCUK

I did a build recently and it may have cost more in postage from CCL (not applicable to me as I go pick it up. They're only a 20 minute drive) but it was still cheaper than OCUK

Cannot fauly OCUK's customer service, though. CCL are good, but don't handle RMA's for you.

Hey, I just noticed the MSI card has a core clock or 780 and memory of 2000 instead of the others at 750/1800. I know it's factory OCed. Is there any advantage there besides not having to OC it? I would OC it anyways farther.

I've never really bought off OC'ers again (apart from my RAM) after i had my awful episode with trying to claim back my money after an RMA.

Even thought by law i was entitled to it, they refused to give me back the £10 postage they charged with the product despite it being broken. Took a few weeks.

I had no income at that time, so £10 was a lot.

any gtz on the 4870 hope you enjoy it like i have

Yup, it was a B-Grade Saitek Mouse i had the issues with

Yup, i want to play Racedriver GRID on Ultra, but the 8800gt can't quite do that without fps under 30. And, i heard GRID plays better on ATI hardware.

Either brand better?

EDIT:

Powercolour would be 5 day postage
Gainward would be next day postage
Try to get yourself a Visiontek one if possible. Or better yet, wait until the unlocked versions come out there and grab one of those that will do some extreme overclocking.
