Default 4850 Single or CF ?

Will one 4850 suffice for decent FPS in TF2 and future games, (d3, sc2)..

Or should I absolutely go for CrossFire ?

I don't believe SC2 and D3 crave that much of graphic processing. One is enough.

4850 Crossfire Review

The benchmarks should compare the 4850 to the crossfired version.

But one should be enough, but two is just fun!

It depends on what monitor your gonna use though. a single card will be enough for your 17" monitor you have now. If you plan on getting something bigger, 24"+ then the crossfire setup will be recommended.

Or just get a single HD4870 for heavy gaming. Then later like a year or so you can get a second one if its not pulling its weight.
