Default 2x4850 or 4870 plus Phenom X4?

ok ive narrowed it down to two choices, my specs are below. im wondering which i should go for. two 4850's or a single 4870 and an upgrade to a phenom X4 2.5GHz

Well you've already got a tri core with the new architecture, so I say go for dual 4850s.

games wont see to much a difference between 3 cores and 4. and more graphics power is always better

Always remember that nearly every game is gpu limited, so that's where your box should be the beefiest. Keep an eye out for sales, they are all over the place on the cards you're looking at.
