Robilar: is your 4870x2 the tri-fan model? If so what kind of temps are you getting at idle/load and hows the noise of the card at idle and load?

No both my sapphire and asus have the stock cooler. That said I run both at 40% fan. Idle is mid 40's, load tops out at 70C.

I looked at the tri-fan model but wouldn't bother changing unless Asus made a TOP version of it that would be available here in Canada (factory overclocked).

I bought one last night . Should have it by Monday or Tuesday. So I currently am using the CCC 8.12's with my 4870. Is anyone having trouble with these on a 4870x2? Or is there better drivers to use?

I had nothing but problems with the 8.12s. The drivers wouldn't recognize both cores. I always had a "Incompatible driver deteced" message whenever I booted up. It pissed me off so much that I rolled back to 8.11s and everything works great.

9.1s should be out soon.
