im really feeling for you at the moment Robilar
i cant believe the combined brain power on OCN is unable to get Trifire running...  i know you have a decent PSU but do you have another handy capable of powering the two cards...?  these are quotes from another forun & they are talking about running a 4870x2 & a 4870 in trifire QUOTE.... ''yesterday i bought the zalman ZM1000-HP for the same configuration of cards'' ''lol according to the chart from AMD you need a good brand 1200w to run trifire 4870's'' i don't know how true this is & i couldn't find this chart but it may be worth looking into.

I can't believe how much Canada is ripping us off on the 4870 X2 prices. Its about 560+. Seems its the same for USA. Talk about jacking the prices up.

Just out of curiosity at idle and full load how much power does 2 4870 X2 consume ?. Will a 1000 Watt Corsair PSU be enough ?.

HardOCP used a corsair 1000w for their tests with 2 4870x2's so power is not the issue.
On a side note, here is the drivers Hardocp used and the driver I have (that came on the cd). It looks like they have access to a newer beta driver than the one that I am using?
