Yeah, I'm not anymore, I was thrown off by the 4166MHz but ncspec clarified that for me.

Yeah, that last result is on the Extreme profile, 1920x1200.

I think the scores are decent for what I am running.

I will be going back to single card until my bus extender ribbon cable comes because I have been running without my RAID for too long. I don't have any of the data I need for work... haha! I have been playing around with dual graphics instead.

Guys, was just testing my new card as you do, running a bench in Vantage (800/1000) everything was fine until the end of the 1st test, whereby the fan's reset and went back to default. I then see artifacting in 2nd test so I close down Vantage, and set clock speeds back to default but ramp fans back to 100% to cool it down. Run Vantage again (to make sure all is well), but now after the first test it went to a black screen and froze. Had to manually reboot the system.

On reboot the idle temps were +80c!! So I've reinstalled drivers/CCC but idle temps are still ~60c compared to 35-38c initially...and I CANNOT change fan speeds at all.

I don't dare put any load on this card until I figure out how to get back to idle temps of 35-38c...if I can at all.

Do I have a serious problem here?

Are you running the new 9.4 drivers?

9.3 since I've had the card. Everything was dandy in regards to fan speeds/mild overclocks/temps. But now...I dunno. Really worried. Just bought this card

**EDIT**Temps @ idle are now 70c.

**EDIT**Downloading Cat 9.4..temp shot up to 82c

if CCC wont let you adjust the fan speed, try a diff fan speed adjuster like RivaTuner or the fan speed tool in post 1 on this thread (expertool) and see if it lets you change the fan speed

the default "want temperature" is super high for idle or load, so it can cause artifacting especially if you are overclocking.

9.4 has resolved the issue with the fan. But I am still idling at @ ~60c. But both Riva/CCC neither let me change fan previously.

When I bought this card (less than a week ago) it idled at ~38c (you say this is too high?). For my card to now hit 38c idle I have to have the fan on 100%

Did the bench I ran ealier somehow damage my card, first time I saw artifacting I went back to default clocks...

What do you idle @ stock clocks/fan speed. I am sure mine was 38c before this issue arose.

Appreciate it.

Went into Vantage (fan speeds MAX 38c) to see if 9.4 had solved anything. No Artifacting, but instead MAJOR graphic anomalies...no water/streaks of water/fps of 8-10/loads. I really hope this card isn't RMA after a week.

I'm gonna run some more tests and report back to you guys, maybe this whole scenario is something some of you may have come across before.

No water streaks you say? When my friend and I were benchmarking, his first test when the jet ski's were riding through the water, almost the whole screen was just verticle blue streaks. I think was because of high clocks... Are you encountering this issue?

Sounds like my issue except I am @ stock now after the incident earlier.

**EDIT** Run 3DMark06/Crysis Bench and everything fine there. Temps still higher than they were, but no graphical problems. Vantage however, is still a problem which leaves me to assume the problem is only with Vantage and the Cat 9.4's and not my previous issue.

As I said tho, my problems with temps still remain
