Doesn't make a difference to me. I've never planned to crossfire the two. I only did so at the request of a member here before I deliver the two HD4870's I sold.

If anything, I will get a second X2 eventually (Which does work).

I saw your post in regards to a monitor earlier. Have you checked out the Hanns G 28inch? You can probably get one for less than $500 brand new. This monitor is amazing. Its VERY bright and vivid...amazing picture quality with dvi or hdmi.

What is its native resolution?

1920x1200, unless you're sitting 3+ ft away, there's no point to it over a 24".

Thats what I figured. My desk has the monitor recessed but not very much. I don't want to strain my neck

Guys, what are your GPU temps? Mine's around 64-66 C and all I'm doing is surfing the Internet! I think it'll go over 80 C when I'm gaming.

Is this normal? My last card rarely went over 50 full load but I'm hoping this is normal for the 4870 X2 due to the dual-GPU.

Another thing - any alternative to ATI Tray Tools where you can set your fan settings (don't like the fan hack where you just set it on one speed)? I'm using the beta build, 1.5.8.2250, and I keep having to manually tell ATT to use my custom settings every reboot.
