Really? That doesn't seem to make sense. I thought you always have to use the top left port in crossfire (or sli for that matter)

i thought crossfire disables 2 of the dvi ports so just try each of them until you find the right one? you could also read the manual

For CrossFireX, it doesn't matter which DVI you use... sometimes it's finicky though. I think the bottom PCI-E is checked first, then the other ones. You can also try uninstalling the drivers, putting in one card to make sure it works, remove that one, put in the other one in the other slot, make sure it works, put them both in and use check all DVI connectors, THEN install drivers.

I don't even get a motherboard post screen so its not a driver issue. (I can hear the computer booting up though and my LCD post monitor for the motherboard is indicating a successful boot)

Test the cards separately, you may have a bad DVI connector.

They both work perfectly separately. Tried all 3 cards individually in the system. All run fine.
__________________also, the two 4870's run perfectly in crossfire as well
|
