or maybe it's the dual dvi link cable you're missing

nothing missing. I tried 3 different crossfire bridges as well.

All power connectors work? One of your PCI-E 6pins might not be working. Try both in single card configs first.

I had all 4 connectors in use with my pair of hd4870's. two of them have split out pins for 8 pin (both of which I tried on the required 8 pin on the X2).

Looking up your PSU, I see that it has two +12v rails, each 40a. What do you think the possibility is that they put all of the PCI-E connectors on one rail?

EDIT: Your PSU has two dedicated PCI-E 8pin connectors, maybe you should try those.
