ATI HD4870X2 Owners Thread

so if ATI is going to do some driver release to lay the smack down on the GTX 295 I think it should be very soon. I really hope that they enable sideport and it make a bigger difference than I think it will. otherwise I will have to kick the 42 day old 4870x2 to the curb and get me a GTX 295. here is a link to some reviews at tweaktown.

I think ati will be a real beast with the new driver! Even if it aint as good as the new nvidia, I think it wouldn't be worth to spend the cash on a gtx 295 from the 4870x2.

If it's a 512 4870, then yeah it'll hurt, you'll chop the mem in half.

And that wouldn't be good now would it? So I guess I will just sell the card.

your score, was it with only the x2, and what was your cpu clocked at?

A review said that the 4870x2 with 8.12 hotfix is pretty much on the same par with the GTX 295, can't imagine what 9.1 will do
