sorry for a newb question, but I don't have a floppy drive. I have the dfi dk x48 t2rsb plus and i'm trying to flash the bios to work with the 4870x2. I am not sure how I can flash the bios without the floppy drive. I d/l the exe update file from dfi webpage and it asks me to write to a floppy. I guess i'm supposed to start the comp on the floppy but I don't have one. Any other options? Can I use a cd or something or just run some file from within windows? |

Hi Blackbeard,
You can do with a CD, an USB stick, a CF card etc. but you can do it easily through Windows, using the Winflash tool (see attachment). Just unzip it, run the Winflash.exe and load your X48xxxx.bin BIOS file into Winflash. Check the boxes Update All and Clear CMOS, and then just click on Update. (Make sure your computer is not overclocked or at least stable) Cheers!
