i got my 4850 a while ago and love it so far (except in crysis). To keep it cooler i have an 80mm fan blowing on its fan and mosfet heatsink. it decreases temps quite a bit, but it sure makes dust easy to find its way to my card. i already see a thin film layer of dust build up around the area where the fan is blowing, so i can only imagine how bad the dust will be a month or two later. how would i go about cleaning the HSF on this thing? seems like the sheath will make it difficult, and the actual heatsink looks kinda folded over at the top, making cleaning all the more difficult. this extra fan makes my gpu temp drop at least 10C, and the extra fan is still quieter than using a loud fan fix alone, so i still wanna use it! and ideas?

Hmm thats a good idea actually.. yes dust can get annoying , all i can think of is canned air rite now or clean ur case as much as u can. If you have a fan that blows air into ur case , try putting a thin filter layer next to the fan that will reduce the dust going inside if u know what i mean. I upgrade alot ,so whenever i do , i just make sure the whole case is clean , and there are no big chunks of dust lying around.

I would use canned air first. Just take the red extendo rod and carefully fish it past the fan blades to blow out the channels in the HS. It's my plan for the 4850 when it needs it.
