Not sure how much the DX9 trick is helping but I'm getting 28-40 FPS at all HIGH settings at 1280x1024. Do you guys reckon my CPU is holding me back?

lol....i'll never get bored with this game.......especially in dev with a TAC gun i still get 26+ FPS on very high with occasional 18 drops.....higher settings make the game ever more interesting to play

You're getting better frames with the HD4870 X2 than with 8800GT SLI at the same settings?

EDIT: Oh, yeah, duh.... lol. I was surprised because I was thinking of an HD4870 512MB. My bad.

To be completely honest, the DX9 very high "hack" to me looks 99.9% the same as the DX10 very high. I have tested it on my own rig and to be honest there is NOTHING in DX10 very high that makes me go wow over dx9 very high hack.

Nice fps there Marin. I get my 4870x2 this weekend with a new x48 board. I am gona have fun with that

Without the hack Ultra High in the settings activates DX10 I believe.
