Default best air cooler for HD 4850?

what's the best cooler you can buy for it?

i've seen the thermalright one, its got 6 heatpipes

would that be it? or do you guys think a zalman or the accelero series would dissipate more heat?.. or maybe even thermaltake?

oh... and the accelero s1 rev. 2 comes with ramsinks right?

i was looking at that one, and it looks kind of small. i want something to possibly perform a vmod with so maximum heat dissipation and preferably very quiet is the best way for me to go.

yes the accelero comes with ramsinks, but IMO the reference stock is really good with the fan speed fix.
without the fix, those cards can up upwards of 80c. with it, i've seens load temps in the low 60's, if that.

The reference fan cooler is so noisy. 45% didn't bring my loads below 87*C. Only 80% brought it down to 75*C. But with my accelero I am at 55*C load. You should get all you need with the latest accelero, including some sinks for the VRMs. It also comes with 8 ramsinks. The absolute best would probably be a thermalright HR-03, but they are alot more expensive.

ok so, which one performs better, the accelero or the HR-03 gt?

they're compatible, so that's not an issue, and they fit in my case so that isn't an issue either. what i'm wondering is which one will give me cooler temps?

The HR-03. But there isn't much difference in temps between that and an accelero. Plus the accelero is alot cheaper. I would go for the accelero.

The turbo fan thing just clips on. From what I've heard its not amazing, but it is slim. A 120mm fan cab be tie-wrapped on if you need more airflow.
