Default 4850 can't run dual displays????
I was having the biggest problem overclocking my 4850, becuase with catalyst 8.9 windows wouldnt recognize my card. So I downloaded a leaked version of 8.10 and it finally worked! now I've oc'd my card...however, I run a dual monitor setup (20" lcd monitor and 32" lcd tv), but when I try to set up the second monitor (my 32inch tv) it freezes my computer.

Any suggestions?

Um, you are using leaked drivers that aren't out yet, what do you expect?

This. My question is...do you absolutely need Hydravision to run dual displays on a Radeon card or am I just misled?

I have issues of flickering display when overclocking my 4850 card and running dual monitors.. When you're setting up your dual displays, are you booting with one active then connecting the other once windows is up? When does the system lockup, is it as soon as it detects the other display?

You should be able to set up dual displays with windows, in the desktop properties dialog. Hydravision is unnecessary.

Don't use the leaked drivers. There was Release Candidate 2 out recently with a late September date on them, which are newer than the 8.10 alphas leaked. I've had good luck so far with the RC2's so give them a go
