4870x2 by Wed.
So - I just bought mine from the BestBuy site on Saturday. It just shipped today saying it'll be here by Wed.
What exactly should I do considering I have an nvidia mobo with nvidia GPUs? Wipe all the nvidia drivers and just plug in the ATi? Which drivers should I install? Think there will be any nvidia conflicts with the ATi drivers? I know you can use 1 ATi card with an nvidia mobo - but assuming there are 2 cores on it, just wondering if there is any conflicts I may have. Also - for games, do I still enable multi gpu or no?

i had it running on my ASUS crosshair with no real problems. i just installed it, turned it on and installed the new drivers and bada bing.
__________________yeah, you need to enable multi gpu... cuz it's two gpu's... for games that don't detect or use 'em both automatically.

Id becarful wiping all drivers dont wipe out your motherboard drivers as you need those sence you got a nvidia board just uninstall the video drivers.

Oh boy. Let's hope you don't get a naked Nvidia card in the 4870X2's box
 Wipe all drivers with DriverCleaner. If you don't know how, this is how you do it: 1. Uninstall GPU drivers in OS. 2. Restart in safe mode and open DriverCleaner. 3. Select Nvidia and press Start in DriverCleaner to completely wipe the drivers. 4. Repeat step 3. 5. Restart comp with new gpu and install new drivers. As far as motherboard drivers and such, there will be no problems.

why do people assume a 4870x2 won't work on a Nvidia SLI chipset, but they know for sure a 9800GX2 will work on a Intel Crossfire chipset?
