Thanks

pencil mod will be in effect. a modded bios allows the extra clocks in ccc however

Me.

I used Barry's mod from XS, with a few changes I made myself - he did all the work, really. All I did was change the fan speeds and hysteresis (sp?) and edit one of the voltage variables to 1.158 because it stopped increasing my vcore under load for some reason

I'm at school atm, but if you want i'll upload it to my FileSavr and stick a link here (maybe edit some BIOSes into the OP? Dunno.)

~Error

Edit: I got 745 core/1105 mem with this BIOS - up from 700/1105 stock. I can run ATiTool for a few minutes stable (long just gets too hot - even stock clocks do this :P ), but it's not Crysis stable, and I can only play Warhead for a few minutes before the driver crashes (I haven't BSODed on 745 yet, only 755). I wonder if ATi made the drivers to crash like that, or if they'll fix it in 8.12....Or if it's even possible. Does anyone have experience with 3rd party drivers? If so, how'd they work?

Aaand herehttp://www.filesavr.com/mymod my/Barry's BIOS is. Please give him my (and your) thanks if you use it and belong to XS.

~Error

Edit: I used winflash, as for some reason atiflash doesn't work very well, and only correctly flashes the original BIOS.

As far as I'm concerned, the 4850x2 still counts as 4850 so, welcome to the club.
Sorry I haven´t been updating but work has been a pain recently. Will update with new data soon
