Default Can Radeon X800 Pro support WoTLK?

Hey I have a free computer at work 1G RAM (I can upgrade to 2G) 3.6Ghz Processor and Radeon X800 Pro. I was wondering if this would support World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King?

Here are the minimum requirements for WoTLK
Minimum: 3D graphics processor with Hardware Transform and Lighting with 32 MB VRAM Such as an ATI Radeon 7200 or NVIDIA GeForce 2 class card or better

Does the Radeon X800 Pro Meet these requirements?

Yes, it should max it out....WoW doesn't take much if anything at all (by today's standards) to max it out.

Yeah your card does, for best performance, keep your stuff on low or medium settings.

Now I am wondering if I do max the graphic card settings and lower the in game settings whether I will be lagging so much whether it would be worth it? Not sure if you guys would know that much detail but if you do I would like to know if picking up the free PC will be worth my time. This is for my girlfriend we would like to play WoW together but if it isn't worth it cuz of the lag I can wait till xmas...any opinions?

My old Gefore 6600 played WoW at about 30fps at 1280xwhatever. But WoW isn't exactly power hungry. You should be fine. Just dont expect any eye candy.

lol, okay I almost said it with a straight face. Eye candy in wow. hah

Your card can play it medium or high no lag (except if you have a slow connection)

Not sure what you mean by maxing the graphic card settings and lowering the in game settings.. but I've ran WoW on my Powerbook g4 with an Nvidia onboard GPU. so I'm sure it will run on your x800.

I think hes talking about forcing AA etc in CCC. With WOW you're not really gonna get amazing visuals anyways. The ingame settings will do plenty. Jaggies are just a part of the game.

Well an X800 will perform roughly on par with a 7600GT. Keeping in mind that my friend plays WoW on an FX5200 maxed in game settings (@800x600), I'm pretty sure you can max it out with the X800. The game only requires a GEFORCE 2 OR RADEON 7200, yes that computer should have no issues maxing it out.

That X800 should wipe the floor with WoTLK.
