ATI's CCC is good but for those who want more functionality with their cards Ati Tray Tools is better.
![]() From my experience using ATT can save you a lot of time and headaches spent with CCC.It is almost a Rivatuner for ATI cards with support for game profiles,so those who have turned to ATI from nVidia recently should feel at home.People having troubles getting their cards to work as they want should try ATT at least once, and even if you don't have any troubles try ATT anyway.I fell in the latter category and finally using it made me realise how helpful this little utility is. ![]() Clarifications 1)ATT is different from ati tool. 2)ATT does work in vista64,see the ATT loader given below, latest ATT versions contain ATT loader and should work fine. Advantages of ATT over CCC- 1)Has options for making custom 3D profiles for games and can also make custom overclocking profiles for games with different clocks, fan speed, voltages. 2)Temperature based fan speed control also available. 2)Contains many graphical options that are not present in CCC,triple buffering for direct3D,LOD bias and driver tweaks. 3)Overclocking and downclocking limts can be made further than CCC. 4)Auto 2D/3D detection that works better than CCC. 5)Can be used for on the fly voltage changes. 6)Can be used for monitoring system usage, temps, yada yada yada. Disadvantages of ATT over CCC- 1)Worse GUI 2)Not noob friendly. All i can think off my head atm. ![]() Crossfire I don't know how well it works on dual gpu and CF setups but it has catalyst AI inbuilt and a permanent crossfire tab that CCC seems to gobble up every now and then. ![]() ATT and CCC ATT and CCC can work fine together but sometimes 3D settings for games are not applied correctly and using clocks beyond CCC limits can results in arbitrary switching back to stock. So i would suggest removing CCC and using ATT standalone. Currently i am at 400/600 2D and 830/1100 3D and the switching takes place without a hitch.
