Ok right now i have an ATI HD 3650 256MB video card. Will I get better performance out of my computer if i replace it with an ATI HD 3850 or crossfire it with another ATI HD 3650?

you will get a huge boost in performance from a 3650 to 3850 or even crossfireing.I used to have one, it ran everything except crysis on the max :P Although paying to crossfire another card why dont you just get the 3870?

maybe just upgrade to a 4850/4670 though that might not be financially available

you will see a small amount more if you buy another and crossfire it, but only a small amount, I would say buy the 3850, sell your current 3650 and then crossfire 3850's, but you can always buy the 3850 and crossfire it with your 3650, with 8.7 ccc's and up it allows hybrid crossfire as long as they are from the same GPU revision, and all HD3XXX cards are RV6XX revision gpu's, you'll se almost as much as 2 3850's but not quite as much.

On newegg.com the 3850 is $99, so if I resell my 3650, get $35-60 dollars for it, ill only have to pay $64-33 dollars for the upgrade.
