Anyway, this is obviously too soon to say it, but either way, the drivers need a little bit of maturing.
Dual GPU just like the HD4870X2, except it has 2 boards instead of one.

I will also wait and see real world tests.

I'm not the trusting sort.

I have a pair of BFG GTX260 216 Maxcore's in SLI on one of my systems. I have yet to find a game or test that they beat the 4870X2 at. I find it hard to believe that a card that is essentially the same as my two cards would provide any real advantage over the X2 (or a pair of 1 GB 4870's in crossfire, for that matter).

Don't get me wrong, I am the forum moderator here for nvidia for a reason. I've owned no less than 7 difference sets of cards in SLI and I actually hope nvidia produces a top product.

I'm just wondering how they plan to do it....

Let's talk about price to performance ratio

(I bought my 4870 because it has good
price to performance ratio)

wow..4 crysis warhead benchmarks on that page and 3 of the benchmarks, show the gtx295 to beat the 4870x2 by a good margin.

You choose to show the only 1 were the 4780x2 just beats the gtx295 and make a thread about it.

You come across as very desperate

It could be because the HD4870X2 has 2GB of memory instead of 1792MB like the GTX 295. At those settings Crysis would call for a HUGE amount of memory to run well. If these results are legit I think that would be the reason.

Do you really think the GTX 295 is going to have less minimum framerates than a GTX 260? If so, then wow. Your fanboyism has destroyed your common sense.

What do you have to say about these benchmarks where the GTX 295 beats the 4870X2 in just about every benchmark..... on premature drivers?

I am not ATI or NVIDIA fanboy I am value fanboy as the benchmarks says
HD4870 x2 ($489.99) most of the time Beats GTX280($454.99).

And HD4870 ($199.99) most of the time Beats GTX260($259.99).

i thought the GTX295 was not just a GTX260 SLI, but a little faster? from this post :http://www.overclock.net/hardware-ne...enchmarks.html it shows the processor cores at 480 which is double that of a GTX280, a dual GTX260 card would only have 384 or for the Core216 432? im probably wrong but this might be why it can keep up with or beat the HD4870X2 in some games.

That is because the card has two cores Auld....

It uses the core count from the 280 but all other specs are slower.

Imagine the pwnage with a dual 280...
Dream on... they can't make a dual-GTX280 card because of power consumption and heat problems.
