4850 bios flash problems
I have been trying to flash my bios with a .rom i made with RBE1.8(http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads...tor_v1.18.html). The flash works, its just that the drivers will not recognize them.
i have tried every driver from 8.10 and up with various different flashes and the only flash that the drivers will recognize is the stock bios. Im kicking myself trying to figure out how i can maintain a high overclock with a voltmod to pair with a 4870 does anyone have any experience with this. Got a solution?  reps on hand for help  this is a serious matter

How did you flash in windows or dos

what settings did you change in RBE?

It looks like you card is not compatable with flashing bios, some arnt, does the code in driver manager say "42" 40 something and it says problem comunicating with the device? if so it will not flash your best bet is a pencil mod riva tuner

The only thing it lets me change without problems is fan settings. Rivatuner seems useless with crossfire and ATT only supports identical cards in crossfire. I was hoping i could hash the card with options to overclock higher in CCC. If its not possible to do that im pretty much screwed on getting the 4850 up to around 800 and that would suck. Not what i wanted to hear

I tried flashing with voltage changes and without. I have it running in Xfire with the 4870 now Cores are at 700mhz. The card can run at 740mhz on the core( without the volt mod) but I need to use CCC and the overclocking limit is 700 on the 4850. I want to get the speeds up to the 4870 speeds but without a bios flash, I cant see how it is possible because CCC is the only software that works with mixed Xfire.
