should i have the option to enable crossfire on a 4870x2, when i had 2 3870's there was a tab under ati overdrive that said "crossfire" but when ive installed this card it doesnt have that tab, is this normal?

Hi.

There will be no CFX option when using a single 4870 x2, it is normal.

You can however, check your Device Manager and it should show 2 GPU's
