Question 4830 and 3DMark problem. Need help!

Hi there everyone!
I've recently bought a Sapphire HD4830, installed ok, works great in games,
and I'm using latest drivers 8.12 from ati. My problem is that I still haven't
been able to run 3DMark06. I run the exe and it hangs showing the main logo
and the "detecting system configuration" message. I use the latest 1.1.0 build.

Also I have the latest directx 9.0c and running on windows xp sp2 os.

Could you please help me?

Download the hotfix from the futuremark's page. It updates the database of compatible hardware. You can download it from this page:

Wink

Thanks a lot mate!
This was really nowhere, I've been searching for hours!
Will try it now, but I think it will work fine now.

Default 4830 testing results..

It worked ok! Here are my results:

I ran the test on xp 32 bit.
3DMark2005 15.580 points.
3DMark2006 10.780 points.

I guess it's all because of my processor..
But in games it does pretty well too. I play red alert 3 everything maxed with 8x anti-aliasing and it is very very smooth and fast!

I run Crisis Demo at 1280x1024 all at High, without anti-aliasing and I get a framerate of 25-30 on DX10.1 in Windows 7 with ati's beta drivers and without any overclock. I guess it will get better by the time new drivers come out. (i guess I only see DX10.1 as my card does not support DX11 as mentioned in dxdiag in windows 7. Did I mention it looks amazing?!? - Oh and now I have 4 GB of Ram).
