AMD Overclocker

Decided to give it a go out of curiosity, even though I don't need anything higher than stock clocks at the moment for anything I play. I normally use RivaTuner, but since I had no reference point to work from, I thought the AMD program would give me a good idea.
__________________It set itself from 750/900 to 835/1040. I was like "whoa, great!" I assumed a program like this was keeping it safe, too, and manual tweaking might go higher. Then I ran 3dmark06. It crashed very soon after, and my display settings got screwed up for a bit (resolution got thrown off, had to readjust, etc.). I ran 3dmark06 at much more conservative settings, 800/1000, and it ran fine and gave me a good score. Anyone else have any luck with the AOD autotune feature? What kind of overclocks are you getting on this card? Mine is the Sapphire 4870 1gb version. Please share your results and settings!

Yeah mine set my HD4850's memory about 100 points too high and the core about 10 points too high before I voltmodded it...after I loaded ati tool directly after the autotune, my display driver crashed after about 10 seconds of insane artifacts.

It always goes too much for me on my 4850. I let it run since it will bump up the voltage on your card. Then I open ATITool and back off the OC until the artifacts go away.

I have its nvidia version called Vtuner. It is the same dude. I do not trust it and increase clocks myself.
