That's nice, i was gonna get one as well but i'm still broke at the moment How much did you pencil the resistance to get 1.35v? because according to the guide 0.90Kohms gives 1.26v...

Ok, thanks for the info. I might keep my eye out for a cheap aftermarket cooler.

For 1.35 i penciled to about 0.86KOhm, 1.4V 0.82KOhm. I always measure VGpu after card is plugged in and under load, to be certain.

MSI 4830 OC GPU@ 1.4 Volt

Still trying

Thanks, I did a BIOS volt mod, and my card is flashed at those settings. It runs real cool with the stock heatsink from Sapphire, idles around 40-44, depending on ambient, and I haven't seen it go over 60 except when I was testing for artifacts.

Nice clocks for 1.4v and nice job keeping the temps low.
hmm since your temps are still low, can you do 1Ghz with 1.5-1.55v?

Believe it or not, I wish my 8800gt hadn't been so ****ty and half died on me forcing me to upgrade.

I much would of preferred to spend less and have 4830 crossfire then 4850 crossfire , I'm sure you could break 20k in 3dmark06 with these babies and a quad.

Hi,
here is my results with flashing POWERCOLOR HD4830 with i guess ATI reference bios from techpowerup site bios collection. Before with Powercolor original bios i was able to get 720 stable on core and only 940 on memory. After flashing the card with techpowerup bios core the same 720 ,BUT memory much better -1040-1050.its even produces different kind of artifacts when pushed too high.BUT now i have another problem-the card wont see my SAMSUNG 2343BWX monitor(connected through DVI),and i can on;y use an old 19"monitor(VGA connected).everything else is stable.I have tryed to change sub vendors in RBEtool menu and flash again -same result. So i wonder what can i change in RBE tool menu to make the card see my second monitor?Any ideas?
Also owners of SAPHIRE or MSI or another brend 4830 can you please send me a copy of your cards original bios?
Conclusion so far:flashing your 4830 card with another vendor bios can increase overclock(at least in my case)but watch out for another problems
Also max voltage didnt change-1.158 ,techpower up bios just gave me more voltage tables.i think max voltage hard wired in card anyway.
Hope this will help those with low memory overclock..would like to hear your results..
thanks
olegserov@yahoo.com
almost forgot-you can change voltage without flashing bios using Ati tray tool.
