The MSI HD4830 went on sale at Newegg... do I go crossfire? lol I'd have to steal the power supply from my stronger PC that I'm looking to sell

Yeah if you have the extra cash go for it, 4830cf would beat a 4870, probably even a 4890 once oc'd. Change you power supply though.

Just won a 4890 from the AMD 40th anniversary contest that ended last month. Waiting for it to arrive in the mail. I'd be curious how a CF setup that is OCed would do against an OCed 4890.

Grats P4l. I passed on that 4830 offer, but I did order another power supply. I didn't want to take my Corsair HX620w from my main rig so I went for an OCZ 500w ModX Pro (modular, w00t). I don't stress this Earthwatts with this setup, but I want a modular PS in there.

Now I just need to find a way to control fan speed on this MSI card. May uninstall drivers and see if the ones that came on the disc work in 64-bit 7. (Riva works for OC, but not fan control, it's the loudest fan in my case now )

What the heck is wrong with my setup :S still having problems with crossfire . Also there is something wrong with my motorcycle's cylinder. Damn this is going to cost me. Should I try changing motherboard hmmm...

i think its your power supply thats a ton of overclocking on top of you min 550 watts go to store buy a bigger psu if it works keep it if it dont return it...i love trouble shooting with **** i i intend to return after all i do live 3 min drive from frys and there return policy gives you 15-30 days to return or just return if it works a get it cheaper on the egg
