bottleneck question
Will the CPU I have in my sons computer (listed in SIG) bottleneck a 4850? 4830? & what exactly does bottleneck mean? I am guessing it means something to the effect that the GPU can not reach it's max performance.

A bottlenect is when the cpu is not powerfull enough so that the graphic card can reach it's maximum performance. Or, it could also be that the graphic card is not powerfull enough but the processor is, then it's the graphic card which is the bottleneck.
That said the x2 6000+ is still a very good processor, and an 4930 or 4850 would be a good match for it.

Any specific plug ends needed for either the 4830 or 4850 so I can make sure the PSU has them before I order?

Nothing to purchase, if the card needs a pci-e power connector, the even give you the adapter with the video card, so that if you power supply doesn't have that type of connector you can use the adapter
