If remember correctly there is no way to disable xfire x2 card from running in crossfire mode.
__________________that being said some games just dont like Corssfire. Im not saying that WoW is one of them but there are those games out there. EDIT: Is the GPZ reading while the card is under load?

Every 4870x2 does that, as far as I heard. You just need to normal-clock it.

from what they are saying with the 4870x2 no you can't. But I can with my 3870x2. Which really makes no sense.

The 4870x2 has the Crossfire automatically activated I believe.
__________________I think you can go into the profiles to disable one card, but regardless, it shoudn't have any effect in WOW which is what you are complaining of in your OP since WOW does not support dual gpu's. Did you change anything else between your 4850's to the 4870x2? Any settings etc? I haven't tried any drivers after the 8.12 fiasco I had but a lot are claiming 9.2 to be a good set of drivers. You can try a program called ATI Crossfire Xtension by AgentGod which is suppose to force CF for games that do not support it, but I haven't tried it yet.
