Hey guys,
I'm trying to find a reliable source as to which temps I should try not to get too close to when OCing my 4850 from MSI. The stock cooler is pretty impressive but not that efficient I'd say. This card will be used mainly for folding and sometimes for gaming but nothing too intensive. Right now I've got the core to 720MHz without having to push the voltage and it's OCCT stable, staying at 59°C while running F@H-GPU2. So I'd say so far I'm doing pretty good, but I'd really like to know about the temps. Also if some of you know of a good aftermarket cooler for that card that could support a hard vmod, it'd be wonderful. Only problem is that right now there's only 6cm left between my 4850 (taking 2 slots obviously) and my wifi card coz the mobo is a crappy little one so it would have to fit in ![]() Thanks in advance

vmods work out much better if you can keep the temperatures down to begin with,as the temps increase the power consumption goes up too and can easily lead to saturation of the stock cooler and ridiculously high temps.70-80C should be fine imo, though i don't like to see mine pushing 60C,low 50s for me.
