1 2 3 What exactly is the difference besides color & #2 comes with a game between #'s 2 & 3?

#2 has a sad cooler, #1 has a nice cooler, # 3 has the reference cooler. #1 is the best choice.

I'd go with #1. Depending on what resolution you are gaming at, if you can shell out a few more bucks and get the 1GB version of the 4870 that would be worth it.

#3 is extremely cheap. For that $30 difference you could always by a DuoOrb or something down the line if you can't take the noise/temperatures. The card will probably run 54C idle and around 78C load with decent cooling, maybe less since my card is overclocked stock.

isn't #2 just as cheap? And I imagine 2 would be better to dremel apart the old heat sink to cover some components, then buy like a vf 900 or something

vf900 or duoorbs are not great coolers for 4870 i have is the st one and it runs at 35 idle and 55-56 load

#1. From personal experience, you will be glad you have the Toxic cooler. It's not just an added bonus on these cards, it's almost a requirement.

yeah, your probably best going with #1 then. The cheaper ones aren't worth the crap coolers, or the effort
