This is probably a stupid question but, just had a look at these cards, do they not have normal VGA connections for monitors? Can you get a converter or am i just being s s s stupid?

They come with adapters, and if you need more, they are usually less than $5 in the states.

They ought to have a dvi to vga adapter in the bundle.
You might want to check before purchasing the card if the adapter is included.

haha, was just about to say ignore that last thread, you see, this is how long i have been out of the loop, you get vga adapters these days, my god? i think i need to get out of work more and back onto the forums,lol

some are included, some doesn't. the old sapphire 4830 ones are complete. the new versions with 2 backplates doesn't. powercolor has built-in dvi, hdmi and vga, thus it doesn't need any adapter at all. however, there's no crossfire bridge and component adapter. his has everything except the bridge. you can try xfx, they usually have all the accessories bundled.

Yea, they kinda have to include VGA adapters because some LCD's only use VGA...

Almost forgot about the 4830 great card but 4850 is you could afford it.

you should be able to get a 4850 for that price. It might be used, but itll be worth it.

My bet would also be either 4830 or 4850. Both can be also overclocked quite nicely.
